Using Sayqal
Last updated 16 October 2026
In short
- Sayqal is a reminder and a place to reflect. It is not a fatwa and not medical care.
- Every door is free. Sayqal Plus is optional and is bought through Apple.
- Your answers live on your phone. If the phone or the app is gone, so are they.
These terms apply when you use the Sayqal app or this website. By using them you agree to these terms. Purchases in the app are also covered by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.
What Sayqal is
Sayqal walks you through illnesses of the heart that the Quran names, one door at a time, with short daily steps and questions. It is meant as a reminder and a help to reflect.
It is not a religious ruling. For questions of fiqh or anything about your own situation, ask a scholar you trust. It is also not medical or mental health care. If you are struggling, please speak to a doctor or someone qualified, and in an emergency contact your local emergency services.
Where the words come from
The Quran text comes from quran.com. Each translation and tafsir names its translator or scholar, and when an idea is Sayqal's own, the app says so. We check carefully, but people make mistakes. If you find one, please tell us at support@sayqal.app and we will fix it.
Free, and Sayqal Plus
Every door and every day on the road is free and will stay free. Sayqal Plus adds extra things, such as your full record, choosing your own door, and deeper reading under each ayah.
- Plus is sold through the App Store, as a subscription or, where offered, a one-time purchase. The price is shown before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew on their own until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period to avoid the next charge. Manage or cancel in your iPhone's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Apple handles payments and refunds. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
- On a new phone, tap Restore purchases in Sayqal's Settings to get Plus back.
Your answers
What you write in Sayqal is yours, and it stays on your phone (see Privacy). We do not keep a copy, so if you delete the app, erase it, or lose your phone without a backup, we cannot bring it back.
Using the app fairly
Sayqal is for your own personal use. Please do not copy, resell or republish the app or its written content as your own. The Quran text, translations and tafsir belong to their own publishers and are used under their terms.
No guarantees
We work to keep Sayqal accurate and running, but it is provided as it is, without promises that it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms as Sayqal grows. When we do, we will change this page and the date at the top. If you keep using Sayqal after that, the new terms apply.
